I’m in my mid-30s and the main owner and decision-maker of a small trading company in the industrial sector, a role I took on after my father passed away in 2014. My father was the pillar of our family, and his lessons continue to guide me. Losing him meant losing someone I leaned on both personally and professionally. My sister, on the other hand, is passionate about eco-living and is a vegetarian. While we often have opposing ideologies, our bond is strong, akin to that of good friends.
Lifestyle Overview
My previous lifestyle was centered around unhealthy eating habits. I often indulged in wantanmin, chicken rice, prawn noodles, sheng yok min, and fast food from KFC, McDonald’s, and Pizza Hut. I believed that avoiding carbs and sugary foods made my diet somewhat healthy. I also enjoyed drinks like milk tea, syrup bandung, and Milo ice, despite their high sugar content. I worked out five times a week, focusing on weightlifting and almost never doing cardio, thinking that an active lifestyle meant I was healthy.
Realization and Motivation
My lifestyle took a toll on my health. Late-night Netflix binges led to sleep deprivation, and one day, I woke up struggling to breathe, even after minimal physical activity. I also considered the possible impact of the vaccine on my health, as many reported similar issues post-vaccination. Realizing that my lifestyle choices were the root of my problems, I felt a responsibility to share my experience. I want to help others recognize the risks and find hope and community through my story.
